Other than that, life has been going pretty well. I'm settling as well as I can into dorm life; it's still weird to be sharing a room with two other people who are pretty much strangers, but we're getting along. As an introvert, I'm still very ill-suited to sharing a room and being around people all the time, first in classes and then in my room. I'm constantly tired, but hopefully that will get better throughout the semester.
We went shopping the other day to get some staples like paper towels and Febreze (very important), so the room is essentially set up for the rest of the year. Up until this point, most of my shopping has been accessory (like clothes, bags, etc), not necessary, so this shopping trip (buying things?!?! taking bus!??! getting excited about household item sale?!?!) really forced me to accept the fact that I am now an adult. For context, a few days ago, I spotted a bottle of multivitamins on my roommate's desk, and I was very confused why she had gotten vitamins "For Adults." Until I remembered that yes, technically we are adults. It was all very alarming.
But that doesn't mean I don't still splurge a bit. The mall we went to happened to have a LUSH nearby, so I knew I had to pick up a few things. My original intention was to bring in five empty pots to trade in for a face mask (I've been desperately craving a face mask), but in a stroke of terrible luck, half of their shipment was lost, so there were no face masks. I ended up buying the Sexy Peel body soap, a citrusy, clean-washing soap, and Fresh Farmacy, a face soap which I've had my eyes on for a while. The Sexy Peel has been so beautiful. It's helped so much in making my skin feel not muggy and gross, like I've just gotten back from the gym, from the weird humidity and heat in the dorm room, if that makes sense. It smells exactly like the LUSH shop, and it makes me so happy whenever I get a whiff of it when I'm near my closet.
